Wamar Technologies, LLC Announces ISO 9001:2008 Certification
ATLANTA, Georgia, January 31, 2012 –
Wamar Technologies has announced that it has been certified ISO 9001:2008. Wamar Technologies was certified at both its Atlanta facility and its San Diego facility for; Manufacturing of Custom Armored Vehicles and providing Mobility and Advanced Technology Solutions for the United States Government and select international and non-governmental customers by employing turn-key solutions, from engineering and complete systems integration to manufacturing, fielding and service management. This certification comes after exhaustive reviews of Wamar Technologies’ manufacturing processes by an independent auditor.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a network of 146 national standards institutes, with one member per country, and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. ISO 9001 is in the family of generic management system standards that are primarily concerned with quality management. This standard refers to a company’s ability to meet customer requirements and apply regulatory requirements, while achieving and improving customer satisfaction, no matter what the product or service is. ISO certification is voluntary, but is a clear indicator of a company’s desire to improve its quality, and a globally accepted standard of quality measurement.
Alan Farash, Chief Operating Officer, who accepted the registration from the auditing firm that certified Wamar Technologies, decided to pursue the certification because of his confidence in the company’s ability to manufacture and deliver world class products. The importance of this achievement is that it reaffirms Wamar Technologies’ commitment to its global customer base. "Nearly every specialty vehicle manufacturer claims that it provides top quality," says Farash. "The ISO 9001:2008 certification is a third party, objective evaluation of our systems and our ability to deliver a quality product and reliable performance. We view it as a recognized benchmark by which all of our future processes will be developed, and it’s great to be able to further demonstrate our commitment to our clients."
Wamar Technologies was established in 2004 and incorporated in 2007 to be the Security and Defense arm of its parent corporation and to be led by, those who have served in the past. Wamar Technologies not only provides armored vehicles through its manufacturing plant of 92,000 sq. ft. located in the Atlanta Industrial park in Georgia, it also maintains maintenance and warranty facilities in both Iraq and Afghanistan as well as a middle east HQ in Amman Jordan. In 2012 Wamar Technologies stood up its C4 Solutions operations in San Diego California under a 2 acre, 12,500 sq. ft. C4ISR and NSCV west coast support facility.
